The Magic Charm Books are a series of picture books for girls. Each of the book features a different girl and has a different theme and a different lesson for the girl to learn.
The girls in the books are never named; they’re always just called “the little girl” so that they could be any little girl, like the girls reading the book. Each book also included a small necklace with a different type of charm, just like the necklaces of the girls in the books, which represent something important in the story. In the stories, the necklace charms are often used as good luck charms or to encourage confidence in the girls. Usually, they are presents from female friends and relatives, often mothers, but there is one book where a father is the one who helps the girl.
The real little necklaces that came with the books were placed in the front of the books with a window in the cover showing the necklace inside. The last two books in the series also had sections for the readers to write or draw in.
The series is by Elizabeth Koda-Callan.
